Hello, I'm Christy ...

I'm an explorer and adventurer ... I love seeing and experiencing new things. I love misty mornings and the smell of rain ... I have a passion for natural systems: regenerative holistic land management, water health, soil fertility and holistic human health ... I'm currently gentling a wild mustang named Amber ... I love rolling plains and rolling oceans ... I have a particular fetish for lighthouse ... I want to learn parkour, canyoneering and how to surf.

My education in human development and emotional wellness has been driven by a combination of personal necessity and interest and spans over a decade of investigation into different wellness modalities, tools, techniques, ideologies and theologies. Over that time I became a certified Life Coach, Flowtrition Practitioner and PSYCH-K Facilitator. The Live From Peace coaching program is the syntheses of my learnings and consolidates into a simple framework the principles and strategies for processing stress and living from peace.

Joy is our birthright and we are designed to thrive.

We are eternal beings having a human experience. That human experience is part of our growth and progression and offers us an opportunity to learn and experience joy at a deeper level.

Life wasn't meant to be endured but enjoyed. All natural systems, including us, are build to grow, heal, balance and thrive. It takes work and effort but the idea that it needs to be a constant struggle is just not true.

1982-1996

Journeyed through the public education system, accumulating all sorts of information and learning about who I am and how life works ... much of which I am now unlearning.

1996-2005

Graduated with a undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in mathematics, and headed off to work for Hewlett Packard as a Technical Marketing Engineer which meant I was a liaison between the customer and our product development teams.

2005-2008

Headed back to Brigham Young University to get a Masters in Business with an emphases on marketing and taught the introductory undergraduate marketing class for a year.

2008-2011

Pursued a PHD in marketing at Oklahoma State University studying consumer empowerment. My study got me exploring emotional wellness and resilience which is how I got introduced to mind and body wellness modalities with like PSYCH-K and Flowtrition. By the time I was ready to start on my dissertation I had decided I wanted to help people get empowered rather than study empowerment so I took a life coaching course and switched career paths.

2011-2020

Started off to become a life coach and empower the masses and ended up spending a decade in darkness, frozen in fear which initiated a lot of personal exploration and searching for a ways to get unfrozen.

2020-2022

Consolidated the insights from that decade of wandering around in the darkness into the Live From Peace training program.

2023-Now

Sharing Live From Peace with you.

I believe ...

  • You and I were designed to thrive ... healing and growth are part of our natural state.
  • Our bodies and our body mind are an asset not a liability, they enable not limit us ... they want to keep us safe but they also want to evolve and are here to help us evolve.
  • When we're experiencing things like overwhelm, anxiety, frustration, depression or resistance it's a message letting us know that we're afraid and that there's an opportunity for us to strategize, learn and grow.
  • When we find ourselves procrastinating, getting angry easily, unable to control ourselves in someway it is not because we're bad or broken it is because we're operating from fear rather than from peace.

If you're like me you might be thinking ...

I should have already figured this out.

I think we inherently know we are meant to thrive and it's frustrating when we're not, particularly when there are not obvious reasons that we can just fix.

Here's what I want to suggest ... you've probably learned how to survive but not how to thrive, so while you have the natural ability to thrive, it's a skill you probably haven't learned or developed. But you can.

I don't have time for this.

I get it ... your life is full and you're already feeling behind and overwhelmed. Adding one more things seems like more fuel on the already blazing fire.

My sister once said: "Christy, I just don't have the time or energy to do all of the personal development work you do."

She's a homeschool mom of 5 and she is right, she doesn't have the same time flexibility I have. Here was my response: "Happy news, you don't have to. I do all the personal development work I do because it interests me and the happy result is that all of my exploring and investigating and evaluating lets me get you straight to the good stuff!"

I have no willpower and must be a failure.

You've probably been trying really hard to choose to be happy and love yourself and think positive. You're exhausted and you're not even sure all that work is making a difference so the natural conclusion is I must not have enough willpower.

I didn't have the willpower either so I had to find another way and that's what I can share with you.

Want to start Living From Peace?

I teach people the skills they need to handle stress in a way that doesn't just remove stress but brings them alive to the experience of being alive.

People who have shaped my experince

My personal journey and thus the Live From Peace experience has been influence by a lot of really cool minds. In no particular order here are some of the people who have really impacted me, radically shifted my thinking and that I continue to reference.

  • James French James developed The Trust Technique which is process for building trusting cooperative relationships with animals. I ran across James' work through my interest in regenerative agriculture and he has taught me a lot about the nature of peace and cooperation.
  • Lance Wright - Lance developed a modality called Flowtrition, which is a gentle touch that allows for the integration of life experiences stored in the body as tension. I'm a certified Flowtrition practitioner and the thing I love about Flowtrition is how it lets us really appreciate and support the body and it's capacity to heal.
  • Rob Williams - Rob developed a process for changing subconscious beliefs called PSYCH-K. I'm a certified PSYCH-K facilitator and my favorite thing about PSYCH-K is how it has demonstrated to me the power of the mind and our ability to collaborate with our subconscious self.
  • Leslie Huddart - Leslie is the creator of The Body Wisdom Academy which is a training program that helped me refine my relationship with my body and amplify my ability to process and release trauma trapped in my body.
  • Alex Loyd - I really appreciate Alex's perspective on how memory shapes our experience and the nature of fear and love.
  • Teal SwanTeal reintroduced me to my own mind from a place of collaborative understanding and compassion.
  • The Arbinger Institute - The Arbinger Institute helps individuals and organizations develop an outward mindset and helped me see that it's possible to go to war without being at war.
  • Allen Savory  - Allen is a pioneer in land regeneration and our role in earth health. The thing I've really learned from Allen is that all natural systems are designed to heal and balance and they will if we support them correctly and allow the natural healing processes to work. When it comes to natural systems there isn't really anything to fix there is only an opportunity to enable and support.
  • Paulette Clark - Paulette is a horse trainer who, like James French, is interested in building trusted collaborative relationships. Paulette helped me see the value of trusted collaboration rather than compliance and how my state of being impacts my relationships with others and myself.
  • Brene Brown - I love how Brene looks at vulnerability and living whole hearted. It's also Brene that helped me see how to listen.
  • Brooke Castillo - Brooke formalized and refined a very simple and supper powerful model for seeing how we're creating our experiences so we can change things. It's a great model. Brooke also modeled for me how to build a coaching framework to empower people in there personal work.
